As a professional funeral celebrant, I strongly believe that each life is different and every life matters. Which is why when it comes to funeral and memorial services, I think these should be more than just a series of dates and accomplishments to be listed when life’s final chapter has been reached. I choose instead to see each life as a rich and diverse story, one that overlaps and connects with the life stories of family, friends and the wider community, and one that should be celebrated as such.
